The most gentle of all the peels, Lactic Acid is an AHA that is used to gently exfoliate the top layer of skin. It is well tolerated for those who have sensitive and/or mature skin or those new to peeling. It's not for those who have a milk allergy, severe eczema, or rosacea.
Mandelic Acid is a gentle AHA that has been found to be effective for inflammatory acne and some forms of hyperpigmentation, as well as treating sun damage and evening out pigmentation. It increases cell turnover and is good for people with sensitive or acneic skin.
This acid and antioxidant derives from rice, grains, and bran – scientifically known as a “phytate.” The most popular use for phytic acid is for skin lightening and addressing hyperpigmentation. It’s extremely effective at reducing the appearance of discoloration, sun spots, and or micro-pigmentation. In this preparation it has been combined with Glycolic, Mandelic, Lactic, and Hyaluronic Acids to serve as a lightening, wrinkle reducing, exfoliating, hydrating peel.
Formulated with Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Kojic Acid, and Malic Acid this peel is used to remove sun damage and reduce photo-aging. It will help fade melasma and sun spots, soften lines and wrinkles, and unclog pores. Although well tolerated by most, this is not for those allergic to aspirin or BHA's.
This alpha/beta with resorcinol peel is an excellent choice for persons with cystic acne, back acne, oily acneic skin types, combination skin types prone to occasional breakouts, and sun damaged skin. It will smooth the surface of skin. Peeling may occur. Consultation/patch test is required.
TCA peels use trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to improve your skin’s appearance. The peel comes in a variety of strengths or concentrations of acid and can be customized to suit your needs. This peel is for those looking for skin resurfacing or to remove sun damage. Peeling and redness will occur.
