Lip Blushing and Tatooing FAQS

What is Lip Blushing?

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lips' natural tint and shape, giving them a boost and a glossy touch. It's designed to define and outline your lips, not to actually make them fuller. It gives the illusion that they're fuller, but in a very natural way.

Want to make a bolder statement?

We offer full lip or Ombre tattooing with bright bold colors. During treatment, color pigments are implanted into the lips to give a fuller more defined look. Although less natural, it can correct the shape of your lips to make them seem more balanced and symmetrical.

What should you expect?

Color consult will take place and then the lips will be numbed and exfoliated prior to treatment. During the treatment, a slight pricking sensation will be felt. The service will take about 4 hours depending on lip size. After the treatment the lips may appear red and swollen. This will subside in two to three days. Lips will peel within five days and color should come back through in 6 weeks. A perfecting session is needed and is included.

Lip Blushing Aftercare

Day 1

Lips will be very red and swollen. You may ice them after the procedure and take ibuprofen to help with the swelling. You will start to apply the ointment in your aftercare kit. Three times a day for at least five days.

Day 2 - 3

Lips will turn a bright orange color. It doesn't matter which color we choose, it always does this. It is just part of the healing process and will go back to normal.

Day 4 - 10?

Lips will start to scab, flake, and peel. The will look rough, but trust the process. It is EXTREMELY important that you do not pick at or peel the scabs. You will pull out the color if you do. Continue to apply ointment to help with this stage.

Day 11 - 31

Lip color will fade as if it has disappeared. Don't worry, this is also normal and the color will come back through.

Day 45

Color has come back through and you get a glimpse of the final result. Some area might be patchy at first. You will come back to see me for your 6 week touch up and perfecting session.

---Please Note --- If you have had a dark lip neutralization, your healing time will be a period of 12 weeks. This will give the color time to bloom.
